This week has been pretty full on! The week started off with our Monday being a normal day and Tuesday being a pday. On P day Elder Ainge and I got to go to a basketball game. It was pretty sweet! Well the week went on and we found out about transfers and all that good stuff. Pretty soon after, an Emergency Transfer went down so that was pretty full on dealing with all that. Its been a busy week filled with the most unlikely scenarios.
Well the week went on and I had to go on Exchanges again because stuff was happening and we needed to figure some stuff out. We got it all resolved and got back in my area.
This week we were able to find some sweet people! We got some referrals from the English elders. They have these little cards in Spanish that they just read and pretty much says that they can''t speak Spanish and that they are going to send some Spanish missionaries by. Usually they aren't very solid just because nobody understands what the other person is saying. Well we show up at this mans house and he had the biggest smile on his face. We talk for a few minutes and things started to really pick up. We began sharing the message of the restoration with him! He was very intrigued in the beginning and then it continued to increase. During the lesson as he was talking to us, he whips out a sharpie and starts underlining all these points that he liked! It was crazy. I have never seen such a thing. Well he kept going. Underlining Joseph Smiths name, and some cool things that happened. Underlined all these different topics here and there. He told us they were very interesting and that he would be praying about them very soon! Well we finish up and ask to pray with him. He says to give him a second and then next thing you know, he is bringing his wife out on the porch. We prayed together and then he went in and got us some drinks. It was awesome. We will be seeing him this week because he is super solid.
On Saturday we were in Amelia, that little Spanish town. Well we just walked around knocking doors and talking as we do. We got 5 return appointments that day. It was a huge blessing. We will see where that takes us this week :)
Sunday was pretty cool because we went to Baton Rouge for stake conference. We are in the Baton Rouge stake but our district is in the New Orleans zone. So we get to see the best of both worlds! Its pretty sweet :)
Pretty much a normal week. Nothing too exciting here and especially no gumbo pics or armadillo kicking! I'm missing some spice in my life down here recently. All the armadillos went into hiding! Ill try and get some good stories this week coming :)
Just kidding its been real crazy down here. The atchafalaya is flooding and so all the people we visit in amelia I'm pretty sure are about to evacuate so its crazy. We were walking in the trailer park and then just saw the bayou in their trailer park. It's pretty nuts! I wish I got pics of it.
I love Louisiana!
Have a sick week my fam! Love y'all!
