Well this week has been a mix of everything. The weather has been something else let me tell you! I'm sure many of you have seen stuff on the news, but I'm safe and good just so you know. Some of the missionaries up north have actually had to been evacuated over these past few weeks from flooding, tornadoes and heavy winds. So alot is happening!
To top it off I ran into even more problems with the bike. But since the weather was quite ridiculous, it didn't affect the work too much!
I showed up to zone conference on thursday and the office had brought down a little blue schwinn that is like 24 inches I swear. The thing is so small but I am just happy to have a bike. Its a lot easier on bike than walking! So I'm grateful for that.
For Zone Conference Doctor Bean, the area medical advisor came and talked to us about how to stay healthy and stuff like that. Then President and Sister Hansen talked to us. It was pretty good. One of my most favorite zone conferences not going to lie. President was cracking jokes and started talking about how Sisters were flirting too much. Quote of the Day. "Elders, some of you need to turn down your swag". It was hilarious.
Tyrell and Letice were out of town this week since they moved the date of the funeral a little back, so it was a little sad not being able to see them. But this week we were packed on dinner appointments. Man thank goodness I am on bike otherwise I wouldn't be staying slim at all.
We had carne asada on carne asada on carne asada. Not to mention the Tres Leches cakes they gave us after. That has to be the best desert I have ever had. Ok I take that back. I miss Pavlova!
Saturday was my favorite day of the week. We had a Baptism. Well not really. But a certain member in our ward had his records lost. And so they had to rebaptize in order to recreate the records. We got there and started filling the font, but the warm water was out. So we ghetto'd it and threw in some boiling water right before it began. I conducted and then President Fossati baptized him. Then on the waters edge, he was confirmed and given the Holy Ghost as well as the Priesthood. He then went back in the water after we poured in another pot of boiling water, where he baptized his wife and son! It was a pretty sweet experience. There is nothing better than seeing a baptism, whether or not it's a child, convert or previous member. That topped off the week.
Sorry If the letter is not good in terms of grammar. Some letters on my keyboard keep skipping so I keep typing funny words.
On sunday church was great, It seems that each and every week more and more people are coming. I saw Dylan, a recent convert I knew when I was first here, who recently returned from his mission. It was pretty neat seeing him. But the branch is awesome and things are going good!
Love you all and hope you have a great week!
