We started the week off with some service. One of our investigators mum actually got an eviction notice for her house if she didn't clean it up. So we got over there at around 10 am and went all the way until 6 pm. There was a lot to do! Straw and weeds had overgrown the yard and trash was everywhere! For some reason the time flew by. For some reason, I have fallen in love with tough outdoor labor. Especially when It means a short break from the shirt and tie. It definitely was a lot of work but we all had a lot of fun. The other elders came, and so did the sisters!
The week continued and we got to see some less actives and do a little tracting. A lady needed some help, and so we went into her house and started building shelves for her. She had all the material, so we put em together and hung them up and then started stacking all her valuable on them. It was pretty cool!!
I love seeing the end result of service that you did. The smile on their faces, but also actually seeing how much things changed because of your help!
On friday night we headed down to Baton Rouge because Early Saturday morning we had a conference with Elder Quentin L. Cook! It was so cool! We all had the chance to go and shake his hand and introduce ourselves. It really was so awesome. When he walked into the chapel everyone stood up and the feelings were so powerful at that moment. Like the strongest feeling of Peace I have ever felt. It really was a neat experience! I have the strongest testimony that the Prophets and Apostles on the earth today truly are called of God.
So last night, transfer calls came in. Elder Cunningham is gone and I am staying. I am staying in this ward but we are moving houses. So I am going to have a new address in the next few days. If mail and packages get sent to my Briley address, I will still get them this week and for many weeks to come. We are pretty sure the sisters will be moving into our old Apartment. So Yeah, Elder Cunningham is the only one in our district that is leaving, so we will see who my new comp is soon to be.
Troy got into a crash this week and is currently residing at the Sheriffs department. We tried to go visit him and see how he is doing but the Police station would not let us visit until sunday.. We thought maybe we could tell them we were his lawyer (Since we definitely look the part) but maybe that isn't a good idea, Unless I wanna get thrown in haha..
Dustin has his job, but with the gas prices pretty low, the oil industry is plummeting pretty bad, and many people are losing their jobs. Gas is 1.69 down here. What is it up there??
So I have to turn down the quality on alot of these photos so that I can fit them so sorry about that.. We got alot!!
