Hey Fam! This week has been a little crazy and a little slow at the same time. But A few sweet things happened.
On Tuesday we had a crazy storm here in Louisiana and many buildings got super messed up! Being down in New Orleans, we didn't have anything hit us, but over in LaPlace a previous area, the Church building actually got quite damaged. I'll attach some pictures below!
That same day my companion was super sick and throwing up alot, so we took it very easy being on both Lockdown and him very sick! It was a great day though :)
As the week went on a lot of cool things happened. Our Investigator Tyrell was awesome this week. While at his house one night he said he wanted to go on a walk. So we went. We walked for a few miles and he just talked. He talked about how he has been thorugh so much in his life. He has been Shot Stabbed Jumped you name it. He has seen a lot. As we walked through the streets trying to help him continue to make these steps of change we had a pretty sick experience. I was just walking and then the feeling hit me that this is why I was on the mission! And why I am in this area. This dude is awesome and I'm excited to help him keep progressing.
The Cain family is awesome. They are a recent convert family and are awesome. Straight Family already! I love em!! We try and go to there house like 3 times a week and they are awesome. They are super solid and really when I go there it feels like home. I love being back here for the 3rd time.
This Saturday we had some sweet service. We went to New Orleans and helped at a giant running convention. There was marathon and so we were helping signing people in and helping them get ready the day before. It was really cool. We talked to alot of People and it was really fun. I love meeting new people!
On Saturday Night President Jensen called me and asked my comp and I to give a talk in sacrament meeting. I talked about faith. I shared our little boat incident and about how Dad had faith that the boat wasn't gonna crash, but that he lacked action.. AKA... We never put on Life Jackets even though we had faith we'd be alright. So I compared that to how we still need to do certain things even when we have faith! I whipped it up real quick! But there were many laughs haha!!
Love you all!!! Have a great week :)
