It begins.
So this past week was transfers. I got a new companion. Elder Braydon Peterson. I'm just pumped we have the same name though! No but he is super cool and I'm pretty excited for this transfer. We actually just got moved to a new Area, called Eunice. I talked a little about Eunice before but we are living there now.
NEW ADDRESS
1718 Amazon St
Apt 20.
Eunice, LA 70535
It is home to the LSU-Eunice extension and I think it is a little bigger than Opelousas, but slightly less populated. I wish I took some photos of the new little place, but it definitely is an upgrade.
This week alot has happened. Well we moved places, which took up a lot of time and we got situated up in Eunice. Since we have been up there we have already found way more Spanish than we previously had. We have been getting phone calls from a bunch of Hispanics who are wanting to come to our English class on Tuesday nights.
Ok so this lady calls us. We answered the phone and she started talking(In English) she went on to say that she was wanting to come to the English class. Well, she literally sounded like a white girl. Has the accent, could speak FLUENT English and then called us to come to the class. Hopefully she doesn't think we are teaching grammar or something... because I do not think I would be able to help very much!
This week's letter is going to be kind of short because not much really happened.
As we were driving today, we saw this in front of us.
Dustin's brother Nick is now beginning to Investigate the church. We were meant to go teach him today but the appointment fell through. We will see where that goes. It would be the coolest thing to see them enter into the waters of Baptism together!
I want you guys to know how much I love each and everyone of y'all. With Valentines day coming up I feel like it's fair to throw that one in there. I'm loving being out here serving the people of Louisiana so much and I feel like I have grown alot and learnt so much about the Gospel and about life.
I just want to share one thing that Elder Quentin L.Cook shared with us. He said as members of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, that We are the message. Everything we do, each and every day is seen by someone else, and as we strive to be disciples of Him each and every day, we are sharing that message with the world. Go let your light shine!
Once again love you heaps!
Con Amor,
Elder Whitmarsh.
PS. Weird name of the week. La'QwonDasha. Yep I did seen it with my own two eyes.

(Luckily we weren't sitting there when it happened otherwise we would've gotten messed up. This guy tipped his 18-wheeler hauling rice. I could just picture being in the car with dad and him saying "hahah Rice One, You idiot.." Love you Dad, and Happy Birthday once again!!)
