I'm fixin to get a new companion tomorrow. I was kinda expecting it just because Elder Lyons has been here for over 6 months now. The westbank is dope. I love it so much! It seems as though things have been getting better each and every day. We are finding more people to teach and we are just packing our days even fuller than they already were.
This past transfer has probably been one of the faster of my mission. I don't know why or how the days are going so fast but it seems as though the busier and longer the days feel, the quicker the time is going by. Its a crazy feeling being able to count the amount of months left with my hands.
A lot was done this week. Probably more service than has been ever done on my mission. Its pretty crazy being on a mission because you somehow instantly become a handy man for 150 different things. This week alot happened. We built a new porch for a less-active in the ward. We removed tiles and flooring and laid new ones for our branch President. We mowed lawn, hauled items, helped people transport items... Big Items like A Baby Grand Piano and a lot more. The mission does teach you alot I guess. Haha.
On Monday we explored New Orleans again and found some pretty cool graffiti. It was pretty tight.
Tuesday was Zone Conference and it was really cool. Definitely one of the better meetings if not the best that I can recall on my mission. President is definitely getting the hang of things and he is really learning how to show that he loves us. He is a stud.
The rest of the week included all of our teaching and service and finding as usual but it really was a good week. We met with our two new investigating families and things are going pretty well.
On Thursday we came out of an appointment and we see a dog eating something... We look a little closer and see that he is cleaning out the inside of a dirty diaper.. It was gross..
Friday we made a whole new veranda and yeah that was pretty fun. I learnt alot.
On Sunday a less-active told us to come over for food because her son was having a birthday party. Well we show up and it is a big ole' fiesta. Hispanics everywhere, some reggae-ton bumping and Cerveza(beer) everywhere. She opens up the cooler and asks what we want and yep there was beer everywhere.. Haha We ate our food and got out of there. Also, I never knew there was a Spanish gangnam style... But man, that was the weirdest thing I have ever heard... haha
All over New Orleans are just random walls of graffiti art and it is pretty cool! I love it.
Well, it's a small one this week but I love ya and hope you all have a great one.
I will keep you updated on who my new companion is and all that good stuff!
Love you guys!
