So today we are probably going to go and look for Lil'Waynes house down here in New Orleans where he grew up! I think it'll be an adventure. But you never know what will happen on PDay.This past week was pretty good!! We did a lot of good I would say.
The Honduran family that we found let us straight in when we returned and knocked on their door. We taught an awesome lesson and they told us to come back so we will definitely be going to see them! Hopefully they can start coming to church!
Wednesday we had the food bank again and that was really good this week. We actually found some less-actives in our area that go to the food bank. We didn't even realize but they told us they would love us to come visit them so that was interesting.
There's definitely no cool stories for this week like there has been previously so sorry about that, this weekly letter is going to be a struggle..... Umm...
Oh actually so on Friday we went to a funeral service. Manny's mum passed away and the reception for the service was actually in our area so we decided to go and support him and show our love. It was a good little service which took place at this huge catholic mass and there were alot of people there. Alot of missionaries came and I think Manny was very grateful.
All these members of their church came up to us and were pumped we were there. Then the Priest got up and welcomed the Mormon Church for visiting. It was funny. Then he sat down after his part, pulled out his camera and started taking photos of the congregation. haha I have never seen anything like that! The cool thing was that the whole service was in spanish and so I guess that was the story of the week.
Every friday we have a Noche de Hogar at a members house. So just a family home evening. Its pretty cool and it's a great place to bring investigators to. Well this week we show up and noone was there. I felt so bad because the man's house who it was at is single and it was his birthday too. So he had noone there to help celebrate. We called as many as we could and things eventually picked up but yeah it was a close call.
The man whose house it was at is named Daniel Lagos. He is a clown. I love that guy. He just walks around church all sunday and says "Vaya Pues Vaya Pues Hermano"... It literally has no meaning either... hah he's a funny guy. Well we were in Elders Quorum and he is sitting next to me and just keeps saying it the whole time.. So I pull out my planner and just start drawing. I end up drawing him and he got really mad because he said it was 'feo' haha..
This next week is transfers and so I am pretty scared... I don't know why I get so nervous or worried or anything but I guess because this can affect the next few months of your mission so sometimes I just trip out. Elder Lyons has been here for 6 months now and so I feel that he could be out. You never know what President is going to do though! So I will just wait and see!
Hope you guys have a great week!!
