There was alot of stuff that happened this week. Well, alot and a little. A lot of good and a lot of bad.First off, Dustin moved to texas. SO there goes our solid investigator. He was offered a job as a manager in Texas and so he took up that offer because it really was a good opportunity for him. Although it is sad to see him go, I know he is going to be taken care of. I am just happy to see him get on his feet.
Tuesday we actually had the opportunity to teach our english class. Mario and Betty and Her two kids were able to come and it really was an awesome experience. We taught them for about an hour and a half and it was really neat being able to see them grow a little as they increased there knowledge of English. The coolest part was teaching them how to pray in English. It was an awesome experience seeing them praying in the new language. The spirit was there and you could just feel that they were feeling something! I loved it.
We also threw in a few Gospel terms in English and taught them those which led into a brief gospel discussion. We will be following up with them about the Book Of Mormon this week, so I am excited for that!
Wednesday we had Interviews with President. They were awesome. President always seems to just know how to pump me up and get me excited to just work my butt of. Especially by tracting. It always ends up with us practicing different tracting scenarios and it is just really sweet just hearing his advice.
So the week went by and that was what we did. We tracted. Since we are in a new area, there are no active members and all the less actives are quite hostile towards the church. We have managed to gain a little trust from a lady named Cara, and so we have been doing a little service here and there and she is definitely starting to open up a lot. She is an awesome old lady. I don't know how else to describe her except as a Hippie from the 50's, who loves to do her hippie things!! Haha she cracks me up. She gave us some original records from the 70's. Dad this one might be coming your way. Kiss-The Destroyer.
Mardi Gras parades also began this week and all I can say is Wow... I love em hahaha!!! I got so many beads thrown to me that my neck was drooping BAD! We got home and I filled a giant shoe-box with them. I'll attach a few pictures below! The first one we went to there were so many things said. I was called Geek Squad, Cops, asked if we just came back from a wedding, Jehovahs Witness, and of course "Theee Mormmmoonnnssss" Because of our white shirt and ties we all got alot of stuff thrown to us. It was so awesome. The members that took us loved it. I'll pictures below :)
