Well, It has come to the point where I can say, One Down One to Go! Many missionaries call this day Hump Day. The day when you are right at the top of the hump. From now on it is all downhill so they say!
Happy Mothers Day to all you Mothers, Grandmothers, Expecting Mothers, And just all you women in General! Hope you had a great day!
Yesterday was great being able to call the family and see how they are all doing! I can't believe how much everyone is growing up. Honestly Declan has changed the most so far, along with Cally and her braces gone. This next call home is going to be the scary one because it will be a whole 7 months. 7 months is a big time to change!
But yeah, I can't believe I am at that point right now. I'm super grateful for everything that each of you do for me. The letters, the emails, the pictures and the smiling faces all really do help out alot so thanks so much for that! Love yall heaps!
Ok as for this last week. Well, The week began with a great Preparation day and honestly that sets the mood for the whole week. If you have a great preparation day, then if anything bad happens in the week, you have something good to remember. But if the P-day is bad, you better hope everything goes great that next week! Haha but yeah it was a good one.
Well, Once again we had exchanges, Or Intercambios as we call them. I went with Elder Joubert in Kenner again. He is a stud! So alot of stuff happened it seemed like and there were many funny things that happened. First off, I forgot my bike. So what I rode was a sky blue womens beach cruiser. Ok and that wasn't even the bad part.. So I see it and just started shaking my head like "nooooo noooooo I can'tttt".... I sucked it up and just rode it. Well I thought the color and style was bad enough but when I got on that sucker my knees were up at my shoulders. It was ridiculous...
Elder Joubert was just laughing his head off at me. Well, It wasn't just Elder Joubert that thought is was funny.. As missionaries we already get enough of an earful from the people that live in our areas. This bike only made that ten times worse. I couldn't tell you the amount of times I got honked at hahahaa It was a good memory.
Well a few days went by and on the last night before I was to go back to LaPlace, I was riding on the sidewalk. The bike kind of slipped into the little crevice in between the sidewalk and the grass and just decided to stay in there. I tried the turn the handlebar to get back on the sidewalk and BOOOM... There I go... I fly over the handlebars right as Elder Joubert is looking back and he loses it... I was just laying on the sidewalk while all these cars just drove by...It was humiliating. But An Awesome story.
The Other night we celebrated my year mark. We did all the classic traditions and it really was super weird realizing that i actually hit a year.. I never would've thought this day would come... But... It did.
This week we should be going to the temple and hopefully the work continues to pick up as it has been doing these past few weeks! Love you all and hope you all have a great week!
